Three UK thugs found guilty over anti-gay attack Gang met the victim online and they invited him over for drinks. Once the victim showed up, the gang brutally beat him 23 January 2014 Three thugs who attacked a man they met online in a homophobic assault were found guilty this week. Dominic Nagy, Vladimir Puchala, and Martin Uhlar, all of Orford in Cheshire, England, will be sentenced next month. The men, aged between 24 and 33, were found guilty of attacking the victim, shouting homophobic abuse and punching him repeatedly after he was invited to the house for drinks. This Is Cheshire reports how the victim was invited into a house on 1 June last year after chatting to one of the attackers on a Slovakian chat room. He believed he was meeting a man called Stephan. When the victim came round to the house, Uhlar identified himself as Stephan and welcomed him inside. The victim was told to wait, and that was when the three men entered the room and started to attack him. After suffering from numerous punches to the head, the victim managed to escape. He was treated at Warrington Hospital for bruising and swelling and was kept in overnight due to his head injuries. Due to the damage, the victim was forced to take time off work and see a psychologist. Joanne Clark, the prosecutor, said: ‘In the police interview, Uhlar said he had invited the complainant as a joke and a laugh. He did not think the victim would turn up. ‘He did not tell the other housemates that he had invited him.” Uhlar and Puchala both pleaded guilty to assault at the Halton Magistrates Court. Both men admitted shouting abuse at the victim but claim it was not meant in a homophobic manner. Nagy was found guilty. He claimed he was not there despite fitting the description of the attacker given to the police and later being picked out during an identity parade. All three men will be sentenced on 13 February.
