Three most promising areas of Telangana realty With the 29th state of India, Telangana, coming into existence today, the clouds of uncertainty are finally over. The real estate market of the newly formed state is also looking forward to some action. Though Hyderabad will be losing a part of its business to the other developing cities, it will still see price correction in the property prices that had seen downtime in the last decade. Telangana has got a fair share of the booty – it has the advantage of world-class IT city Hyderabad. Its other cities are agriculture based and have prospects of industrial development. Bulk of the commercial setup is established in proximity to Hyderabad. However, a push is required for real estate development in the other regions of the state as well. The major areas where development is anticipated are Mahbubnagar, Medak, Nalagonda. Nevertheless, there are many issues to be addressed before the real estate market in these cities can take off - Mahbubnagar Mahbubnagar is the region located 100 km away from South Hyderabad. Although the economy is agro-based with ample forest area and mineral resources, the district is well-known for silk sarees and pharma SEZ established in Jadcherla. Medak Medak is a district about 100 km away from North Hyderabad. Housing a large ordnance factory, the area drives the economy of the state. With its natural beauty, it has been attracting the Telugu movie makers too. A tractor manufacturing unit has been established here recently which is generating employment as well as housing demand in the area. Nalgonda Nalgonda is another area with potential in the state with its vast resources. It lies 100 km from West Hyderabad and is connected via NH-9. This region boasts of the status of being the major producer of cement in India due to the availability of lime stone here. This industry employs large number of unskilled, semi-skilled workforce and thus creates jobs for local people from nearby villages.
