Three new malls are about to open in Naga City--Robinsons along Roxas and Almeda Avenues, StarMall along the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Del Rosario, and MetroGaisano along Panganiban Avenue. On one hand, I am welcoming with open arms the developments, which will bring in jobs. On the other hand, I worry like a Mother Hen for the homegrown shops including our Peoples Mall. Naga is home to SM City already. On a brighter note, the combined population of Camarines Sur and Naga City is about to breach 2 million and our neighboring province Camarines Norte, which is like a giant suburb of Naga, is growing too. The market is big. Everything should be alright.
