Three weeks to the Clonliffe 2 Mile Road Race and Fun Run In three weeks time the historic Clonliffe 2 takes place. For the 122nd time Ireland`s Oldest Road Race takes place this year back in Santry. Clonliffe Harriers is extending a cordial invitation to fun runners and club runners, to participate in the Clonliffe 2, Ireland’s oldest road race on Thursday 5th September. New location this year The 2 Mile has had a number of venues since its was first held back in the 1890’s. For the past 26 years the race started in Finglas Village and finished at Eugene Kavanaugh’s pub (the Gravediggers) in Prospect Square, Glasnevin. This year the race is being held in Santry with a finish in Morton Stadium. The race itself will follow a route adjacent to the Stadium. Race Sponser Eugene Kavanagh has been the race sponsor since 1986 and Clonliffe Harriers are pleased to announce that Eugene is continuing his sponsorship this year. Each entrant will receive a special commemorative tee shirt. Race check in and changing facilities Race check in and changing facilities are located in the Clonliffe Clubhouse, in Morton Stadium Santry Dublin 9. Registrations will be taken on the night of the race from 5.30- 7.00pm. The entry fee is €15 (Juniors €10). Individual Prizes Junior Men/Women 1st, 2nd, 3rd places Senior Men/Women 1st, 2nd, 3rd, places Masters Men/Women 1st in each category Prize giving/Results There will be a presentation of prizes in Clonliffe Harriers Club House following the race.
