Three years ago on this date, Bobby had his first appointment with the specialists at the Center for Disabilities and Development at the University of Iowa Hospital. They found that he had abnormal muscle tone, significant hamstring muscle tightness, and impaired movement quality and postural control; which contribute to significant delays in attainment of age appropriate gross motor skills and movement strategies (he was 13 months, but had motor skills of about 5 months). That is when we were told he had cerebral palsy and an MRI was schedulted to determine the cause and/or area of the brain affected.
