Through my life, I have known Jesus Christ as My Lord and Savior. - TopicsExpress

Through my life, I have known Jesus Christ as My Lord and Savior. There were times that, I now realize he did not know me. As with many Christians, in the USA, I was brought up with good teachings and fellowship within a good Christian household and Church Family. However, I never realized what a true relationship with Christ was until things had started to spiral downward. It wasn’t until I was at my lowest point that I truly realized the strength of My Savior. Through it all, I never allowed myself to blame God or anyone else for the mistakes that took place in my life. When my world started to come crashing down on me it seemed as if no one was there to help. The Real Estate market took a nose dive, I lost all my properties and it became difficult to bring myself back up. It was only than that I sought out My God for help. Before, this I was a person that felt I could do anything I put my mind too through my own means. I knew God was there. I prayed to him for guidance. But, I don’t feel there was as much meaning to the prayers as there is today. When I read His Word, I never really took it in with the passion that I now have. Today, I spend much of my time focused on bettering my walk with Christ. I try to view His Word as a guide for my own personal life. His word is not a self-help book for the weary. It is a vestige of knowledge that, when consumed along with prayer and devotion, will bring joy and serenity to those that thirst for its wonderment. This is truly how I feel! God has brought joy to my life and has brought me and my family through the pains of this world. Though there is so much more to suffer through and learn in this world, I know that through Jesus Christ I can make it through anything. I know that God has a purpose for me. To what purpose, I am still unsure. As I continue to grow, I find that part of his purpose is sharing my joy. I find that living a life on the path to righteousness and sharing ones joy, has more of an ability to heal wounds than any other way. Though, my journey has only just begun, I know that My Savior is forever beside me as I walk through the struggles of this life. He is My Hope. He is My Refuge. He is my Light in darkness. In one of the short essays on the questionnaire I was asked, “What is your dream?” My dream would be that all people would come to know the joy I have experienced in my heart; that all people would come to Christ and know Him and his suffering on the Cross and how he made right all wrongs. My dream is that all people would “Love one another, as He has loved us.” True Love can do no harm to another as Jesus Christ stated.
