Throughout American history, nearly every race, including Native - TopicsExpress

Throughout American history, nearly every race, including Native Americans, African Americans, Asians, Mexicans and Latino’s, Irish, and a whole lot more, has, at one time or another, been the victims of race related discrimination. The media would like me to believe that, through no fault of my own, I am both personally and corporately responsible for this on the basis of having been born white. While I will apologize for the past injustices many of you have suffered throughout history, I will not apologize for being white. Nor will I apologize for being American, for my religious or moral belief system, or for the racism Americans currently face. Why? Because it is your America, too. You have both the freedom and the means to be whatever you choose in this country. Let’s stop using racism as a platform to spout the injustices that have kept us from embracing the luxuries afforded to each one of us by the brave men and women who have fought and died for them. I don’t agree with Black history month. I believe in American history; a history in which we are all intertwined. Let’s move forward as a Nation and forget about past offenses, focusing instead on the here and now to cultivate a brighter tomorrow. I am rooting for your success. Your strength is America’s strength, and as long as we are divided by issues from our pasts, we will never move forward as a society. It’s time to start being offended by entitlements; by affirmative action; by media manipulation, and stop being offended by things that happened before many of us were born. Caucasian people, we need to forgive ourselves, and embrace the varying culture around us. We are all responsible for the stereotypes which exist in society. Let’s stop raising the standard by lowering the bar. Let’s demand education, and not Government handouts. Let’s build a work ethic like the one that built this great Nation. Let’s visit the moral decline of our society and demand that we, together, do better to make our communities safe for our children and supportive of our elders. Let’s show more respect for each other and in turn, show a little more self-respect. Let’s stop apologizing and make this an America we can all be proud of. We can be the greatest country in the world again. It starts with each one of us, united in a common goal. Let’s demand more from our politicians, and hold Walstreet and Washington accountable for the genocide of the American economy. Let’s tell them to honor the family structure, and start taking responsibility for our own health, the weight of our children, and the education they receive. They are overstepping because collectively, we have lost our dignity as a people. Let’s refuse to let the corrupt men and women of politics raise our children, and let’s put an end to our seemingly endless dependency on Government to provide our needs by trading our God given rights for the scraps from their tables. We use to be better than this. Let’s be better again.
