Throughout this weekend (and every following weekend) the Prague Maidan -Maidan International protest event is held featuring debate, petions, speeches and other activities to raise awareness about the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the expansionist agression perpetrated by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. This weekend the protest is specially devoted to the All-Russian Peace March to be held this Sunday in Moscow and all around the word (https://facebook/events/542683262528566/). Below is the leaflet that will be handed out at the Prague Maidan-Maidan International event: Taking our inspiration from the Euromaidan demonstrations that swept the Ukrainian capital of Kiev, we have put into motion a continuous protest campaign to be held nonstop on Prague’s Old Town Square every weekend. Organised by Czechs with the support of Ukrainians, Prague Maidan – Maidan International aims to pressure the Czech government (and by extension other European governments) into a firm and united stance against Putinism and the Russian dictator’s aggressive expansionism. Let’s stop burying our heads in the sand! Please actively support Ukrainians, Czechs, Europeans and anybody else who isn’t blind to the encroaching danger. Join the petition calling on the leaders and representatives of the democratic world to be proactive in the face of this challenge. Don’t stay quiet about it, discuss it. Think about it.
