Throwdown Challenge to be issued by local art business Potters Fire LLC! Tomorrow is the big day! Potter’s Fire will issue its Throwdown Challenge to raise money for The Pride of Herndon Marching Band and to Decorate the Town of Herndon in its finest red, white, and blue for Independence Day. Please feel free to post, pronounce, proclaim, or tweet this to as many people as you’d like. The concert is free and open to the public. Here’s the timeline / schedule for the launch of the Throwdown this weekend: 9:00 AM Potter’s Fire’s team arrives at the studio (797 B Center Street Herndon, VA 20170) 10:00 AM Studio Open, we have changing facilities for anyone needing to change. The studio is located about 3 blocks from the performance site. Canvassers (Herndon High School Key Club) can pick up their T-Shirts at this time. 10:30 AM Canvassing Meeting w/ Potter’s Fire & Key Club / All others are welcome. We will review the geography, procedure, and how to introduce the contest. Canvassers should wear nice jeans, T-Shirts supplied by Potter’s Fire. 11:00 AM Canvassing Begins: Key Club members will circulate around the downtown businesses passing out posters / flyers promoting the event, Canvassers invite businesses to attend the concert (again)… American Originals Fife & Drum Corps begins to arrive (Parking at the government center lot at the intersection of Center & Lynn Streets) About The American Orginials: americanoriginals.org 11:30 AM Quick meeting between American Originals & Potter’s Fire at the Government Center American Originals makes way to the Town Square and sets up for the 12:00 PM performance American Originals to wear standard performance uniforms (Changing station at Potter’s Fire caddy cornered from parking) 12:00 PM American Originals Performance begins Banner Drops from The Nachman Building / Atop of Green Lizard Cycling Canvassing Complete (Canvassers are welcome to attend the concert) 12:15 PM Challenge & Event Schedule Announced by Potter’s Fire 12:30 PM Performance concludes & American Originals Retire We have secured the permits for the use of The Town Square and for the lovely music we’ll be filling the down town with tomorrow!
