Thurs 9-04-14 The last few days have been overwhelming to say the least. But, once again I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the concern and love being sent our way. Each and every family member has been in awe of support, calls, text, email …..etc, I could go on forever! I ask that you please forgive me if I have not personally responded to types of communications being sent, but know that I do read each item but may not have the time or energy to respond and I ask for your forgiveness on that. First, I would like to say, that my Little Man, Wyatt has checked out fine from his oral surgeon and staff and that beautiful jaw that he is sporting around is perfect! Leg is ok too and he is perfect as can be. On the other hand, my BIG FELLA is still holding on and taking what we are calling “baby steps” on his road to recovery. This is by no means going to be a fast pace road that we travel, but I know, I have many people and loved ones helping me steer this boat as it’s captain recovers. Since our arrival on Monday there has been one major surgery to relieve pressure build up on his brain. Since this process, we have traveled a short distance to many, but miles to me! On each hour as meds are reduced and they monitor movement and reflexes, he is moving right arm and hand as well as some activity on the left foot, but only a minimal amount. Again, let me stress these motions mean miles to us!!! Today around 11:30, there was a filter placed into his body to help with any clots that may develop. As you all know, over a year ago John had a close call due to clotting in lungs and this filter is to help with any clots that my develop. This process went “picture perfect” and there were no complications. We were told today that his electrolytes were not stable and meds were added to help control this. At this point in time, we are playing the “give and take” game, or at least that is what I have been calling it. We are reducing meds to see what his body can GIVE and depending on that result the staff will then TAKE meds away or GIVE more meds to help him in whatever his body cannot do at this time. I know you all know that the man I am blessed to be married to is a Godly man. I can just hear him saying to me, “sit back and watch……. GOD has this!!” That is why our GOD is GOD and nothing else compares….. As I try to rest this evening I would like to leave each of my friends, family and any person that happens to read this with this thought and song that comes to my mind as I type. RICH MULLINS: https://youtube/watch?v=MJL_bChiTI0&noredirect=1 Please listen to his words….. Our GOD is an AWESOME GOD. I pray you will each have a peaceful night. Much love to you all!
