Thurs Apr 3 10pm Prayer Request! Kais g tube quit working. Steve tried all the tricks. It seems to have pulled away from his abdomen. He has the BARD, so it cant just be swapped out. Kai said it snagged on his shirt when changing clothes. Ouch! Call to GI dr led to a call from the general surgeon, who suggested Steve take him to the ER at Childrens Medical Center Dallas, where g tube was put in place. Dr explained hole could close in just a matter of hours. Kais eating during day and only receiving feeds through g tube overnight. So really dont know what they might do... Its already late. Praying against infection, and would prefer no more surgeries. But wisdom for whats best for Kai is needed. Steve requested to sit in well cooks area, so their waiting in exam room. However, waiting room is full... Kai has been doing awesome at home, so really dont want him hospitalized again. Prayers much appreciated!
