Thursday, 2nd October: Evening all, Your positive thoughts and kind words seem to be making a difference to our feisty little challenger. She experienced only two seizures today. Fortunately, I was able to film the episode, ready for Addies neurologist to examine. It doesnt matter how many seizures we witness, they never get any easier to deal with. Addie, however, doesnt allow us to sit and dwell for very long. She has been tearing up M Unit with her new partner in crime, Siena. They are pretty inseparable at the moment, and have become one anothers incentive to recovery. The kinetic energy between these two is dizzying, especially in tonights couch clambering antics. Never thought I would say it, but it made my day when Addie climbed up on the couch today. Go, AddSie! Addie had her final speech therapy session with the incredible Katie today. Bit of a tearjerker. Katie mentioned how Addie hid away in her first session, eight weeks ago, uninterested in looking at Katie using signs to reinforce speech. Today, Addie watched Katie sign bubbles, and copied it straight away, even using a cheering motion with her hand afterwards. If she can copy signs, then surely in time, our gallant little girl will be able to copy words. I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be emotional!
