Thursday!!! A few raindrops out my back door this morning. Going to be a chilly damp windy day. Wear that jacket. Purdys Pearls: Last nights drive home was so pretty. The stars were peeking out from the clouds and the moon was bright and trying to guide me home. As I approached the state line to be back among the Buckeyes the clouds parted and I was able to just enjoy the beauty of the night, Usually as I drive along the roads headed home I can look out over the expanse of the fields and see nothing but an occasional light from homes and communication towers. Last night the night was full of lights and movement. Here in my little corner of the world I am surrounded by farms and trees and fields. I cant get there ( or anywhere ) from my little corner of the world without driving in the country.... in the farm land. Last night the farmers were out working way too late trying to bring in the crops before the weather broke. I could see the lights on the tractors as they cleared the fields of the corn that is ready for harvest. Along the County roads surrounding those farms the semi-trucks were lined up waiting for the corn pickers to unload the bounty of their efforts. The red tail lights and red and white trailer lights were beacons for the farmers when it was time to unload that product, In daylight as I drove to go dancing..., the dust surrounded those tractors like a mini tornado. And the farmers sat high up from the ground in those big tractors driving a straight line gleaning the crops from the field, At night.,,, its like seeing a giant monster chomping away at the rows of corn and watching those rows disappear in the night, We forget that those who feed us work very hard for their pay.... last night... it was overtime at its finest. Today.... thank a farmer for our food. Stay warm and please pray for Peace. Happy Wednesday ALL!! Hugs!!!
