Thursday, April 17: Leftovers Bonnie made lasagna for my birthday. We ate small portions, saved the remainder, and finished it today. It tasted great yesterday, but was even better this afternoon. Ive heard that certain foods cooked with herbs and spices undergo an enhancement process when reheated. I believe it, based solely on what I experienced when I took my first bite a little while ago. At times, our relationships with others close to us grow cold and get put on the shelf. When rekindled, however, and one or both desire a fresh beginning and risk asking for forgiveness, there is a sense of heightened awareness that enables us to enjoy and appreciate even more the friend that was, for a season, cast aside.
