Thursday, March 27, 2014 “OUR DAILY BREAD” Topic: THE GREAT CHANGE “But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?” (Acts 9:21) No one could deny a change had taken place in the life of Paul. Everybody knew him as a bad one. He simply did not like Christians. All he needed to get him mocking and hurting you was for you to let him know you are a Christian. In fact, when Stephen was martyred, Paul was supportive. But then if you read the verses before the one above you will see that Paul changed. How? He was on his way to Damascus to hurt the Christians when he met the Lord Jesus. The encounter completely changed the life of Paul. Instead of continuing to persecute Christians, he became one of them and even started to preach to other people about Jesus. Three things will summaries the life of Paul for us here. 1. Encounter with Jesus: Everything started with the meeting Paul had with Jesus. When you also meet the Lord, He will change your life and make you a new person. 2. Exemplary conduct: When Paul surrendered his life to Jesus, he really meant it. He did not hide his new faith. From then he started doing everything right. Everybody noticed the change. Paul has become a new man. When you also meet the Lord, everything about your life will change. 3. Effective witness: Paul preached about Jesus. Do you? He was a living witness of the power of the gospel. He also took it upon himself to tell everyone about the savior. You too must be a witness.
