Thursday Nov 21. Three Places - Four gigs comin right up. Before we get to do our family rehearsals in front of everyone at the church the week of Thanksgiving, theres some regular gigs well enjoy. Tonight well be at The Newton Theater in Newton, NJ. Friday were at Shea Center for the Performing Arts in Wayne, NJ. Saturday night and Sunday afternoon were at the Woodstock Museum at Bethel Woods. These are all fairly close to home and not more than a few hours away. I watched the sun come up this morning, beautiful reds and oranges in the clouds off in the distance, but 14 degrees was a little chilly for roaming around in a bathrobe outdoors taking pictures. So forget that. I did go over and turn the block heater on in the bus so itd crank right up when were ready to leave. I havent entirely given up hope that itll actually warm up before too long - enuff to get one last ride on the bike. So its sitting in the driveway. Theres always hope. Meanwhile, we have to get to work. Theres places to go, people to see, things to do, dreams to dream - all the usual stuff. And Im not just talking about me. Itd be so good the get the feeling that the country is ready to get to work too. Theres so much to do and weve spent enough time arguing about it as far as Im concerned. My hope is that the wheels of America arent frozen, and that well get it rolling along sooner than anyone expects.
