Thursday Prayer Program. Topic: Lord, Give Me A Word For My World! Texts: Luke 3 vs 1-3; Psalm 105 vs 17-19. Confessions: I have come into the year of the word of God for my life. What my own word and the word of men have failed to do for me; the word of God will do it for me speedily in Jesus name. Amen. Exhortation: Luke 3 vs 1-3 says that : Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Phillip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias as the tetrarch of Abilene, 2. Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. 3. And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. John the Baptist, according to the accounts of the Bible, was not born in the fifteenth year; it was the year the word of God located him. His life had been waiting for such a word and when the fifteenth year came, the word located him and his life and ministry took a flight of meaning. There are many lives out there waiting for this experience. You have been told of what the future is holding for you; God has shown you at a time what He wanted you to do for Him; you have seen yourself in a dream doing exploits in certain things but cant explain why you are still waiting. What you need is a word: the word of God! Ministries that are dragging need a word; businesses that are floundering need a word; marriages that are quaking need a word; health that is worsening needs a word; finances that are nose-diving need a word! John the Baptist came alive to his life assignments when the word of God came to him: you will receive a word this year in Jesus name. We all know the story of Joseph: we know the vicissitudes of life that assailed him but the Bible says in Psalm 105 vs 17-19 that he didnt make it until the word of God tried him! The word was his compass and direction; it was his motivation and fascination; it was his drive and nerve and because the word worked for him, he became a wonder to behold. God will do same for you this year in Jesus name. Listen to me: what you need is not prophecies again( as good as prophecies are); what you need is not laying of hands; or influences of man or connections with powers- what you need is a word! The world came into being by a word. God will not do anything for you except by His word. One word from God is enough to make your world! Seek the word this year and you will break into glory in Jesus name. There are so many prayerful confessions we are making to embrace the new year: My year of harvest; Year of Fullness & Celebrations; My year of the Great Shepherd; My Year of Heaven on Earth; My year of Jubilations and all that. They are good. They are wonderful. Why are they so? they are confessions based on the word of God. But for you as a person, not as a member of a group now, you need a word! If this is your only desire this year and you pursue it diligently, the year will be a walk over for you. And I pray that God will grant you your own word in Jesus name. At the baptism of Jesus in Matthew 3 vs 16-17; the word of God came for Him as a voice and His ministry on earth took a dimension of distinction. Your own word will come today in Jesus name. If you have been asking God for leading in any area of life: pray for a word. Seek it in fasting. Sow a seed for it. Dont give rest to your soul until you receive the word. The year is new but you were not born today: you have always been around and the only thing that will make you move forward is the word sent to you. I pray that this message will tear off the cobwebs of confusion and weariness all around you in Jesus name. Everyone needs a word: Psalm 119 vs 105 says: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. This is what the word is: a lamp and a light. God will give you your own in Jesus name. This year is joy galore for children of light. Seek the word, for God to make your light brighter and as you do, your blessings will know no bounds in Jesus name. Amen. Shalom. Prayers. Take ample time to worship God in your own way. Sing songs of praise unto Him all day. 1. Jesus, living word of God, all adoration and dominion belong to you! 2. Release a word into my world that will guide me into your purpose in Jesus name. 3. I reject words of my father and mothers houses that are inconsistent with your counsel for my life in Jesus name. 4. I reject the word of my generation that is standing against my manifestation in Jesus name. 5. Power of complete deliverance, fall upon me now in Jesus name. 6. Lord, cancel that word the enemy is using to hold me down in Jesus name. 7. Holy Ghost, destroy every word of darkness coloring my destiny and future in Jesus name. 8. By your blood Lord, wipe off demonic words that have polluted my dreams in Jesus name. 9. Lord, train my ears to hear your word even in the crowd in Jesus name. 10. Power of effective reception from God, fall upon me now in Jesus name. 11. Lord, strengthen me to act on your word that I have been ignoring for years in Jesus name. 12. Forces of compulsory bondage, break in Jesus name. 13. Spirit of wait and waste, depart from me now in Jesus name. 14. Lord, dont make me a fruit that ripens in the forest that only birds and pests feed upon in Jesus name. 15. My beauty will not attract vagabonds and vampires in Jesus name. 16. Lord, make new celebration dresses for me in 2015 in Jesus name. 17. Terminate trial and error in my relationships and businesses in Jesus name. 18. Cloud of darkness hovering upon Nigeria, scatter by fire in Jesus name. 19. Vultures waiting to feed upon Nigeria, you will wait in vain in Jesus name. 20. Lord, separate me from toxic friends and associates in Jesus name. 21. Thank you Lord for opening my year with your words and wonders in Jesus name. Glory to God! Pls, pray & share. Happy new year!
