He is the living embodiment of our enlightenment. When we look through the eye of the deepest wisdom, we are one with the guru. As long as we still live in duality, the guru is the goal in which we can experience our Oneness. Since his consciousness has merged with the light, he IS the light and shines it into this world. Through bhakti yoga, devotion, we practice letting go of ego into divine love.
