Tickets to the 2014 edition of The Polar Express™ at the Monticello Railway Museum go on sale at 12:01 a.m. (a minute after midnight) on Sunday, June 1. Good news for 2014 is that we have added more trains, and the price for coach seats remains at $30 per seat (all ages). Up to 24 coach tickets may be purchased per order. The Polar Express™ 2014 at the Monticello Railway Museum runs on seven different days: Friday, November 21, Saturday, November 22, Friday, November 28, Saturday, November 29, Sunday, November 30, Friday, December 5, and Saturday, December 6. New for 2014 is the addition of the Museums recently restored Illinois Central dining car to The Polar Express™ train. The diner adds deluxe seating consisting of ten tables for four to the train. Deluxe seating is sold by the table -- in other words, the price of a table for four is $200 ($50 per seat), which includes the train fare. Our diner does NOT have booster seats. As a result, we recommend purchasing a deluxe table ONLY if your children are able to sit comfortably in a regular chair. Last years edition of The Polar Express™ sold out in a mere 80 minutes. In spite of the addition of over one third additional capacity in 2014, demand for this popular event is such that we expect it to sell out equally quickly.
