Tiger, 8, a Dutch Shepherd mix, has been on quite a journey already. Thank goodness, he says, for the attentions of the ladies along the way! Shown here during last Sundays class with the Dogs Out Loud crew, he just finished demonstrating Tellington TTouch relaxation techniques that are used for scared shelter dogs. Dogs Out Loud Ariana Gum and TTouch instructor Marnie Reeder conduct two classes a month for volunteers, shelter dogs, fosters and new pet owners. Classes are held on Sunday evenings. This can make such a huge difference for an anxious stressed dog of any age. As for Tiger, he knows all about why shelter dogs need to relax. Hes been through two sets of stitches to repair an injury upon his arrival and a long stint in the cone of shame. Hes nearly back in all his glory, minus a little hair thats still growing out, and more than anything, he wants a holiday home! He spends his days now bartering for time, along with more than 200 other dogs, with the ladies like volunteer Melissa :) Hell be at the Austin Animal Center for this Saturdays Christmas fun.
