Tigerair extends its sincere condolences to Phillip Hughes’ family and friends and to all cricket supporters in Australia and sports fans around the world at this difficult time. Tigerair is a non-refundable airline and our conditions of carriage state that passengers are able to re-book future travel for a set change fee of $50 online, plus any applicable fare difference, when booked prior to the original scheduled departure date. However on this occasion, we are waiving the change fee (normally $50 online) for cricket fans already booked to travel to or from an Australian test match, provided they have valid proof of evidence of a cricket test ticket. Test fans wishing to request a flight change can notify the airline directly via the online customer support portal on the website homepage (gethelp.tigerair/pages/intro.php) with photographic proof of their test match ticket and their flight details, or they can call our call centre to make their preferred travel arrangements. Travel insurance is recommended throughout the booking process and those with travel insurance can contact their insurance provider directly.
