Til Frida, evigt saknad. Denna låt är för dig: Once upon a time, there was a rock club in Stockholm City. It was run by two ladies, Luna and Frida. Thanks to them, I got the opportunity to DJ throughout the sweaty nights in the Club Nirvana venue. And every evening, when Frida got a couple of Jägermeisters down her throat, she ran up to me, happy as one can be, and shining like the light that never goes out, and asked me to play ONE song. Always this same song. Earlier this year, now in 2014, Frida and her amazing energy left us way too soon. But the memories of her, and the memory of what song she always begged for, remain to this date. So when me and Mia (Crucified Barbara) performed at the Rock Against Cancer evening this spring, we decided to, among other songs, play this very tune. Swallow by OOMPH!. So here you go. I chose to record it not only as a tribute to one of the nicest guys in rocknroll, but also to Frida. Youre deeply missed! x x x Nick Red
