Time Still have trouble with time. Try figuring out the BC and AD part. This was actually proposed in AD 535 and was wide spread adopted in the ninth century. I remember it in my history class 45 years ago when Jesus was a common household name! Not believing Jesus came? Then why was time separated from BC (Before Christ) and AD (After the Death of Christ). No mistake made here in the witnessing of this happening or else the era would have never taken place to be noted! When googled, I found this: B.C. does stand for “before Christ.” A.D. actually stands for the Latin phrase anno domini, which means “in the year of our Lord.” Based on recollections from the Bible, Jesus was calculated to be born in late 4-6 BC and walked this earth close to 30 years in AD - So I would agree with the year of The Lord for the meaning of AD although His death was predicted by the prophets before He was born and would bring meaning to both for me! As with now, even then some in society (Liberal Christians and non-Christians) didnt want to accept it and called the time CE (Common Era) and BCE (Before Common Era). To me, this only admitted to their confusion! Now for the meat and potatoes! I can conclude a time in my life when I was BC!! Then came the time when I realized I wasnt here by some chance. I found I had a soul and I found the keeper of my soul. His name was Jesus, The Christ. He was sent down from God Almighty to offer me something that I could not ever have without Him - Salvation with Eternal life!! As I became aware of His sacrifice, crucifixion and resurrection, My soul began pleading for an eternal placeholder with His maker. As I turned my life over to Christ and accepted His salvation gift, my soul was satisfied. That day the death of the Worldly Mr Rodney Flener was sacrificed, crucified, forgiven and resurrected spiritually with Christ Jesus. Now I live in AD!! What era are you living in - BC or AD?
