Time and Temperature. When I grew up in shelby county, You could call the bank and get a recording that gave the time and temp. We figured out that if you stayed on the line, others could call in too and we could talk to each other. It was like a party line. We would get 5 or 6 people to call at the same time Then we could all talk in a group conversation. I dont know how or why it worked but it was fun if you were young. Ah small town country living. That was high tech back then.
