Time for a RANT: I guess i dont get it...... I work in the hotel industry. Thats a 24/7/365 business. who is sad for me or my family on Christmas, thanksgiving, New Years, easter, 4th of july, Memorial Day or Labor Day when i am working?? I dont see any rallies, protests, or boycotts for hospitality workers when we are feeding your loved ones that are to far away to travel on those days or cleaning your bed linens when you go to visit your family on those holidays. NOT a tear is shed when we have to clean up your vomit in the bathroom before we go home on New Years Eve. AND i didnt get a card when I was performing labor at work on Labor Day. You know why I dont complain?? 2 reasons....1. i love my job. 2. I make sure that I show my love and spend quality time with family all the time, not just the labeled holidays. SOOOO, if I hear one more person lament on how retail workers are being treated so unfairly, i might scream!! If you dont like the hours required for retail, then find a different industry. Suck it up, Buttercup and get my freakin doorbusters ready. I will be the one waiting at your door on Thursday. And I will try not to backhand your attitude or puke in your bathroom. Okay, I am better now...glad to get that off my chest. Thank you!!
