Time for a bedtime story. In 2007, The Superman dance was quite popular in the clubs, the radio and on the streets thanks to Soulja Boy Tell Em with Crank Dat Soulja Boy. One night at koots, I cranked that Soulja Boy all over the swing bar after slipping and hitting my butt on stage of the ice room. I happen to do the whole dance through the whole song and people ate it all up. I mean I not only I did at koots, but at Als, Club Elixir, The Woodshed Lounge (The Shed) and The Anchor Pub way before it became no more. A year after the Crank Dat Soulja Boy popularity, I found more Crank Dat videos on YouTube. The crank dat videos are by the loads of it like for Batman, The Hulk, Fun Dip, Jump Rope, Urkel Dance, Spongebob, Michael Jackson, and a whole lot more. From whatever videos Ive been diggin, I download some of them off of Limewire for free music. I used to have those Crank Dat songs, but I somehow erase them off of my iTunes account. All except for a rock song from Lacuna Coil. I looked for the crank dat songs on iTunes, but the pickings were limited. Anyways, I thank Soulja Boy and them other rappers bringing up the Crank Dat flavor to the world. Totally got into until 2009 when EDM was rising up to popularity. Which leads to Jersey Shore and their Fist Pump. As a matter of fact, Im into pumping my fist all around since the Crank Dat fad fizzled. IN conclusion, Im a sucker when it comes to popular music. The end.
