Time for a story! Suggested by: Matthew McDonald and Keerthana Chinnasami, I present to you... The Therapist. It was a hot and terribly dry day in the Earth Kingdom. The war heroes had decided to reunite for an enjoyable day together. That plan failed miserably. As there has been peace for about 10 years, there wasnt much for them to do. They lounged around, stared at the sky, and attempted to fight the scorching heat. Suki waved fer fan toward her face. Katara bent cool water on the surface of her skin. Aang created a little current of air to cool him down. The others were getting a little cranky. Except for Mai. She didnt seem like the heat affected her at all. And she doesnt have emotions anyway. Sokka suddenly exclaimed We cant just sit here and let sweat gather up until we all become as wet as the ocean! We got to do something to keep our minds off of it!. Toph spoke up And what do you suggest, Oh Wise One?. Hmm...aha! Sokka jumped up and started gathering materials. What are you doing? Zuko inquired. Youll all see soon enough! Sokka said with a smirk on his face. Well, I wont. Toph reminded him. Oh...yeah. Sorry. Whatever. When Sokka was finished building, he yelled out Okay, open for business! Katara looked at him strangely Really, Sokka? she asked rhetorically. What is it? Toph asked. He made a little wooden stand with a sign that says Dr. Sokkas Therapy Sessions. Five bronze coins. And he has his fake beard on. Katara answered. Well, whos first? Sokka asked the group. I guess I am. Aang said while pulling out the required coins. He approached the stand and lied on a makeshift bed. Sokka pulled a curtain closed so that the other members of the group couldnt watch the session. So, what are your problems? Uh...I dont think I have any. Nonsense! Everyone has problems. Is there a girl in your life? Well duh, Sokka! Ive been with Katara years now! And how is that going for you? Its great. Shes really nice and funny. We get along really well. We never fight except for things like Who is the cutest? or Who has the better laugh? Its wonderful. Yes, but is it too wonderful? What do you mean? Is she ever too nice? Do you ever wish that maybe she would yell at you or you guys could have a real fight? Dont all those sweeties and lovemuffins get a little old after a while? Maybe sometimes you just want to be alone without her offering to make you a pie. Well...I guess youre kinda right, Sokka. Thats Dr. Sokka to you. Oh, well thanks for the session, Dr. Sokka. Of course. Aang returned to the group. Katara smiled at him and asked How was it swee- He cut her off with It was fine. Sokka called out Next! Toph got up and said Might as well. She entered the Office. Sokka said Five bronze coins for a session. She punched him and said You dont need any money from me. Uh..right. Lets begin shall we? So what has been going on lately? The usual. And what is the usual? Come on Sokka, you know. I am not Sokka, I am Dr. Sokka! Fine. I get up and put on my uniform then go to work. And what do you do at work? I teach random runts the sacred art of metalbending. Which I invented. Do you like your job? Heck yeah! I get to yell at people while bending all day! Why do you like yelling at people? Well...its fun. Is that it? Fun? ...yeah... Are you sure thats the only reason? Maybe its because the same was done to you when you were younger. You always got commanded by your parents and their servants. You must have felt like a slave yourself! Thats enough. You never got to express yourself and show who you really were. You were scared by that, werent you? I said thats enough! Upon saying that, she blasted Sokka five feet in the air using earthbending. OW! Sokka screamed. The group jumped to their feet when Toph walked back to them. What happened in there, Toph? Suki asked the girl. Nothing Toph replied while sitting down. Zuko said I better go see if hes all right. He went to the stand. What happened? Toph got mad and blasted me in the air. What did you say to her? That doesnt matter. Anyway, would you like a session? Sure, I guess. Okay, just put the five coins right there. Yeah, perfect. Okay, now lets talk. How is the new Fire Lord? Im fine. I really like the job. Its stressful though. Like one tim- Interesting. Now, how is your relationship with Mai? Im not too sure. I think that we ar- Okay blabbermouth. Sheesh, you talk a lot. I do? Yeah, with everyone but Mai. It seems like youre married to us, instead of her! So I should start communicating with her more? Well, duh. Thanks, Sokk- You mean Dr. Sokka. Oh ok. Dr. Sokka, I think you really helpe- Thank you for coming to Dr. Sokkas therapy sessions. Have a nice day. Zuko walked out and sat next to his wife. Mai, how are you? Fine, I guess. Are you really? Becau- Zuko, I didnt ask for a therapy session, too. I just thought we should talk some more. We talk enough. No, we really dont. We are wife and husband an- Katara stepped in. You guys need to stop fighting! Aang stood up. Katara, they can handle their own relationship. I know sweetie but- And could we stop with the sweetie thing? I...I thought you liked that. Katara started crying. Toph said Oh stop with the waterworks, already! Theres a lot of pain in the word and you got to just suck it up. By now, there was a everyone was screaming or crying. Except for Mai of course. Sokka looked at this scene and went over to flip his sign over and write Closed! The End. So, how did you guys like it? Sorry if theyre a little out of character. ~Kuruk p.s. Ill probably write another story tomorrow.
