It has caused the Negro to hate himself and assimilate to have association with the power of white privilege. In the movie Time to Kill justice was not sought through the law of right and wrong, but by the power of race. The jury is asked to close their eyes and listen to an horrific story of a little black girls innocence taken. The ground breaking statement is imagine if she was white. So really ask yourself this question. Was being black devaluing her life and to imagine that she was white giving her life significance by allowing her to use, what the so-called Negro has always understood White privilege?
