Time to re-visit Judge Matthew Parkers mover over Law. Still too many police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, tow truck accidents happening on sides of the road. People get really upset when Fire Police close lanes of traffic for the safety of all working on the scene. Hate to say it but it has come to a time that we should close all lanes and detour traffic whenever possible. I would rather be 10 min late then hit, injure, cause additional bodily harm to a human The Trooper was pinned in the car and I do want to thank the gentleman that caused the accident a speedy recovery who received some injuries trying to help the trooper by rendering aid #hastagjustsaying 02 August 2014 State Trooper Injured in Accident Northern State Parkway A NY State Trooper from SP Lake Success investigating a single vehicle accident on the right shoulder of Northern State Parkway was injured this morning when a vehicle lost control and struck his marked vehicle in the Town of North Hempstead. On Saturday August 2nd at approximately 7:00AM, a NY State Trooper investigating a single vehicle auto accident on the right shoulder of the 2 exiting lanes of Northern State Parkway west bound at Glen Cove Rd. was injured this morning when a separate vehicle, a 2006 Honda Civic, lost control in the left lane and spun across all lanes striking the State Police vehicle on the drivers side rear door with its left rear. The State Trooper was extricated from the vehicle and was transported to Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The operator of the Honda, Christopher Contaldi was treated at Winthrop for minor cuts he sustained when he entered the rear of the State Police vehicle to render aid to the Trooper. The 2 exit lanes for Glen Cove Rd were closed for approximately 2 and 1/2 hrs.
