Time under tension is one way of progressing any lift or resistance exercise. Dont always look to increase the load on a lift to progress the difficulty level. In my opinion its better to maintain strict form in a movement and focus on keeping the tension constant for gains in strength and muscle development. Moving a weight from A-B with no intent is not the most productive way of training and achieving your goals. I noticed in this video that Im pushing a lot harder with my right arm then my left, this will lead to imbalances in my body. This is a common enough fault with barbell work (bilateral work). In order to improve this I will look to add unilateral work with dumbbells which hopefully will eradicate this problem and translate directly into improvements in my bench. This is a segment of my workout today were the emphasis was not on the load but on tension
