Tip Filtering water does not purify it. Unless you happen to be lugging a chemical treatment filter with you, all the filiering is doing is removing the large particulate matter and suspended solids from the water. Alas, protozoa, bacteria, and other water born nasties are too small for any primitive/survival bodged filter. ALWAYS treat suspect water with water purification chemicals or boil it. If you are really worried, you can do both. Personally i always prefer boiling, because the water tastes like shit after you throw a purification tablet in it. ᴬᴰᴹᴵᴺ Edge
