Tip of the day: let it wash over you. My biggest disappointment in this industry is how fickle, insensitive and cruel it can be (it can also be kind, warm and inviting but for the sake of this conversation well focus on the other). At some point someone is going to make a nasty comment about your riding, your horse, your gear, your ability, your dreams. Theyll make a comment that plays on all your fears and insecurities and youll feel like crap. So remember, let it wash over you. There might be one person telling you to get down and not to try but there will be others watching you get back up every time and being inspired by you. For every person pushing you down, someone is watching you and waiting for you to succeed. Embrace your vulnerability and insecurity. Thats where courage comes from.
