Tips for Mice Removal and Control You hear the patter of little feet at night, scratching on the wall and then one day see it, the mouse in your house. Surprise, you probably have far more than one. In fact, you probably have a whole family and perhaps a mischief of mice (Yes, thats what a group of mice is called!) in your home. The best way to eliminate a mouse problem is to stop it before it starts. During the summer months, before the winter winds start to blow, check the perimeter of your home for access areas. Mice can fit into tiny little cracks, so that small gap around the water pipe might be just right for them to enter. Fix screens and remove lawn waste from near the home. Not only can mice hide in the debris and find hidden ways into your home, it also attracts other pests, including termites. If you dont have door sweeps or seals around the door, get them. Mice can march right through your front door undetected without them. Mice are also good climbers, so trim any low overhanging branches. They can make their way up the tree and travel to your roof to find access. Cover vents with screens, too. If you already have a mouse problem, you need to take further action. While theyre cute when sitting quietly, they climb into drawers, chew the contents to make nests and then proceed to pee, poop and give birth on top of your favorite items. Their waste contains harmful bacteria and viruses, so just cleaning it up can be dangerous, but not cleaning it is worse. If youve found a mouse problem, you can set traps, put out poison or call a professional that will help you eradicate the problem, clean the messes the mice left and help you prevent a future mouse invasion. ow.ly/GicVE
