Tis the season to be jolly, and like an underwhelming advent calendar over the coming days we will be sharing the stories behind some of our songs. Pull up a chair, pour yourself a mulled wine and join us as we journey down memory lane. Without further ado, its day one and behind the door with a little Christmas tree on it is: HEAVY METAL WINNER Many years ago, there was an electronic pleasure device called a Playstation. If you ever played Micro Machines V3 on said Playstation, you may recall the two-player tournament option. There’s one tournament called Heavy Metal, and if you win it… Another useful feature on the game was being able to recreate the lively atmosphere of dining out at your favourite restaurant without leaving the comfort of your own home. One could simply start one of the restaurant based races, put the controllers down and let the game’s sound effects do all the work. Bon appetit!
