The local agent for the Chinese constructor of the power plant is Shermans company, whose chairman Eshana Silva is the former deputy chairman of the Board of Investment. At that time, the chairman was casino businessman Dhammika Perera. Some days ago, a coordinating secretary to the president had sent a message to Eshana – that the president had ordered that Rs. 250 million be given immediately to buy Tissa Attanayake, and further that the money be given from the commission money from the power plant project. As ordred, Eshana has given the money to the government. Thereafter, Tissa joined the government and is now the health minister.
