Tithe and Offerings Readings For Local Church Leadership August 23, 2014 Offering: Conference/Union Celebrating His Gifts The gift of the gospel is God’s best gift, Matthew 24:14 says, ”And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” God gives gifts for the promulgation of the gospel. Ellen White declares, “God has a great work to be done in a short time. He has committed to the young talents of intellect, time, and means, and He holds them responsible for the use they make of these good gifts. He calls upon them to come to the front, to resist the corrupting, bewitching influences of this fast age, and to become qualified to labor in His cause. They cannot become fitted for usefulness without putting heart and energy into the work of preparation” (Lift Him Up, p.127). Appeal: Our young people have the gift of energy, vigor, and vitality, coupled with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit; God’s great work will be done.
