Title: A HALLOWEEN NIGHTMARE, October 2013 I found myself inside a big house. The lot is very wide. Nice furniture at the welcoming area with halls like in a hotel setting, very formal and the fixtures looked expensive. Chandeliers hang at the ceiling of the hallway. Seems peaceful around. Silence is the only sound I hear. I was wondering how many maids would be able to clean this place in a day. I just know how it is to clean a house. Cleaning the house is a daily chore, a part of my daily activities. I can volunteer cleaning this place but I know that it would take more than a day and I would run out of time. At the far end of the mansion, I saw that theres another huge area. Theres a ground floor and a mezzanine full of office chairs with its desks are full of desktop computers. Computer monitors were flat screen. This is an office in which I do not know what business or operations must have been taking place. Where have the office workers gone? Is it a holiday today that there were no people around this part of the mansion? Who could own this place? It must have taken a strong person to operate such business and at the same time own this mansion. In a wink of an eye, I was already standing four meters away from the huge gate still within the mansions lot. From where I stand, the view of which is a wide garden of different flowers and trees. The bermuda grass were well groomed. There were bushes at the side of a lane for vehicles. The front of the huge houses entrance has a roundabout. Its function is for maneuvering vehicles, a U-turn slot, in which the round area has a fountain. Suddenly, the ground started to shake in broad daylight. Could it be that the end of the world has began? Near the gate where I was standing, I saw the gardeners and maids running in fear towards the big gate going outside the street. They were staring at me asking for help. They have confused eyes as if they do not know what to do. Keep calm, I said to them. As they stood with me near the gate, we heard a different kind of noise. Its like there were chains walking nearby. A sound wherein a shovel is being dragged on the ground. From behind the bushes appeared a being. As if it came from underneath, some six feet below the ground. With its dirty handyman suit, full of mud, with soil all over its body. Its face is dilapidated with blood all over its ears, eyes, and mouth while holding the shovel in its right hand but the said tool is on the ground, thus creating a sound of terror as it walked slowly. Another creature of the same kind appeared behind it as if forming into a group walking slowly heavily towards the gate. This creature is a zombie which I see in the movies. Undead creatures from the grave. But I did not feel fear for it doesnt seem harmful. Though I know that these zombies are running after the living so as to suck blood and pass the virus. That notion I thought came from the movie, World War Z of Brad Pitt. But this day is different, the world is starting to an end that these creatures became visible and they were troubled, they started walking away from where they have slept for a long time. The gardeners and the maids who were there near the gate said, Mga nagta-trabaho po yan dito matagal na pero sumakabilang-buhay na. These zombies passed by infront of us walking slowly towards the mansions gate going outside. Have they seen us standing there? Or were they too busy reaching for their destination that they failed to notice us? Few minutes after, there came a coaster full of people which came from the far end of the mansion where the office set-up was located. As the vehicle accelerated, it slowed down when it got near me. I heard the riders inside saying, Aalis na po kami mam, salamat sa lahat-lahat I just stared at them and I failed to speak a word. I do not know what to stay. Questions filled my mind. These people must be going home to their families when the world is at its end. I do not have the power not to let them go, loved ones come first in this terrible catastrophe. But how on earth are they going to each of their destination? Outside the gate, along the streets must also be full of hullabaloo. The heaviest traffic will be created for sure, a bumper-to-bumper flow of motorists along the road. It would still be safe to either run or just stay indoors. Nevertheless, the vehicle headed towards the gate for the exit. The earthquakes still there, shaking of the ground that I felt a headache coming. The earths tremors are both horizontal and vertical movements. Where is my husband? He is not around and he is probably working far away from home. My children are with me. We have gathered inside the mansion and we have formed a circle. We will be praying to ask GOD for protection and guidance during this time of trouble. My children and I are holding hands with our eyes closed and our heads bowed down as I uttered the first word of our prayer, Heavenly Father, YOU have said that whether there are two or three who are gathered in Your name, there You are in the midst of them. In this time of trouble, we ask for Your Divine protection for our family. Be with us Dear LORD in this time of confusion... I opened my eyes and from our location some 3meters away, I saw around five to six women dancing in circles. All of them wore black. One of the dancers looked like Kris Aquino. The shaking earth still continued as cracks on the ground began to show just like a channel of water finding its way down the hill. The small cracks on the floor formed that looked like a thin branch of a tree. Why is it that nothings happening? I thought that when we pray, GOD will answer us immediately and will give us shield all over. Is GOD playing deaf? Or is it just my expectations that what I wanted to happen must take place? I continued with my prayer, Dear LORD, we believe that You are here with us to give us protection and shield. With that, the earth trembled again. The strong wind started to blow in which its direction is twirling just like in the Wizard of Ozs picture book of a thick cloudy storm with a shape of an ice cream cone. Why should this phenomenon take place? What I see around are in chaos. Should I give up praying? Then I remembered the Holy Word of GOD, I walk by faith and not by sight.. Even if I see these disturbing events around us, faith sees the hope in the LORD. During this time of need, holding on to the Promises of the LORD is the best thing to do. I need not focus on the enormous calamity rather, I have to keep my eyes on the LORD believing that I have a Greater GOD, Bigger than this problem, a Mighty & Powerful GOD! I closed my eyes as I continued saying these words, We believe in Your Son, JESUS CHRIST. Cover us with HIS Holy blood. In JESUS Name! Amen! Right after the above prayer, I opened my eyes and saw that my children are fast asleep peacefully in silence. A halloween nightmare disappeared. Truly there is Power in the Holy Name of JESUS. His Holy Words are true! Then I whispered a prayer, Thank YOU Dear LORD JESUS!
