To, DY.COMMISSIONER OF POLICE TRAFFIC EAST DIVISION Bangalore Respected Sir / Madam, I am an employee of the International Technology Park, Bangalore and have been working in the park for the last 8 years. Never have come across this kind of traffic blockage compared to what I have been experiencing in last 3 months. The traffic situation between Tin Factory and ITPB has worsened. The traffic at KR Puram / Tin Factory is getting really pathetic and it is really painful to spend more than an hour just to cover the stretch between ITPB and Tin Factory on any weekday. With Metro work just about to begin the situation is only going to get worse. Request you initiate dialogue with other civic and government agencies to smoothen the traffic, which is definitely a concern with other commuters that use this stretch. The increase in traffic is also attributed to many IT parks and multi level dwellings that have cropped up. I can vouch for rest of the co-passengers who travel along with me that their precious family and personal time is what is spent on road. I have few suggestions to make: • A consortium of all the companies in the Whitefield area can be formed and a common public transport pool can be operated. That will reduce the number of buses, four wheelers and two wheelers in turn reducing the traffic in-flow and out-flow • Car pooling with agencies to ensure that the number of cars on the road is reduced • Ensuring the traffic police let the main road traffic flow easily and increase the waiting time for cross roads. For Eg. At Hoodi signal the cross road traffic it not too high when compared to main road traffic but the time provided for main road and cross road is the same, hence the pile up of traffic at this junction I sincerely request you to look into the above requests and kindly do the needful in a smooth traffic flow. In anticipation of a favorable response. Yours sincerely, Mahesh Kumar https://facebook/traffic2terrific
