To My Real Estate and Home Owner Friends: You may want to read the PSEG / LIPA 2,0 plan and hold on to your wallets. PSEG will be putting in more poles real soon. The PSEG lawyers are arguing since 1899, courts have ruled that the installation of utility poles is not subject to municipal restrictions. officials do not have any authority to dictate where utility poles are installed. This backed with the prior ruling of Audey Zebelman to align with PSEG ruling utility poles are the preferred solution and to underground and the impact “out of sight, out of mind” is simply “controversial “ which I assume means to the PSEG plan of the vision to the Town of North Hempstead and Long island. I just saw 9 more chemical poles installed in Manhasset. Double poles still intact. One home had a real estate agent showing the home and as for curb appeal i would rank it poor as wires were on the ground double poles and fresh leaching near the driveway. Grass was dead. I got out and could smell the pole at the front sidewalk. This can not help the sale. My prediction is home owners will soon argue to lower their property tax due to the destruction. I will be speaking on Wen in town if you want to hear more.
