To You, which are the Best Cities in India and why? To Me it is in priority order as below: 1) At number One, without being biased it is Mumbai: It is completely Cosmopolitan, has its own energy and vibrancy. The people here come across more real and are usually unassuming and less pretentious. No one here really cares if you walked out of Rickshaw, bus, train, a Mercedes or a Rolls Royce or who you are…If you are nice, others are nice too :-) 2) Pune: Proximity to Mumbai, amazing development in the last decade which has created a variety of restaurants and night spots. Weather is usually good except for summer. I like my once in 3/4 month Pune drive and visit, to unwind. 3) Delhi: Firstly for the Elbow room… There is more space per person almost everywhere. Be it someones home, a restaurant/bar/night club/mall/public place. With the exception of few, the language used is far more courteous than Mumbai or any other place (besides Lucknow). Infrastructure is in place (almost). Food is fabulous and most people I have met have a big heart. I look forward to minimum one visit a year. 4) Bangalore: It used to have the night life once upon a time. But somehow it has managed to be real. People are warm and friendly. Places to visit socially are nice and well kept. The city is growing on me. 5) Chandigarh: I love the City mainly for its Town Planning. Secondly for its warmth and hospitality. I need to make more friends to totally feel at home here. I do love most of Kerala… I have visited Himachal, Kashmir, Kolkata (Pretty Women there). On My To Visit list in India: Leh/Ladakh, Chennai, Pondicherry, North east (Gangtok etc), Vishakapatnam/Kanyakumari, Bhubaneswar, Indore, Nagpur & Hyderabad.
