To all INC here... This is the truth: When you INC make a claim that the Church fell into apostasy, you are doing all these... 1. You INC are making Jesus Christ a liar when Jesus said that the Church that he will build will never be prevailed by the gates of hell and that he will stay with the Church until the end of times. 2. You are accusing the Holy Spirit of failing to guide the Church to all truths. 3. You are making a claim that the Bible is false for saying that the Church is the pillar and foundation of truth when according to you INC, the Church is not the pillar and foundation of truth for your notion that the Church fell victim into the lies of Satan called apostasy. --- This is the smart Cats argument... Premise 1: The Holy Spirit of God indwells the Church as the Body of Christ (Acts 20:28). Premise 2: The Church is the pillar and foundation of truth according to 1 Timothy 3:15. Conclusion: Indwelled by the Holy Spirit of God as the Body of Christ and the Pillar and Foundation of truth, the Church therefore is impossible to fall into apostasy. --- John Paul Luchavez Lacadin... As usual, you have the same response as the other INC who tried to refute the argument. The argument is not meant to refute your INC interpretation of the Bible (which we Catholics believe is the wrong interpretation by the way) that the Church actually apostatized. The argument is to refute the premise drawn from your wrong interpretation that the Church that Jesus built apostatized. The way the argument refutes it is by giving you another premise drawn from the Bible that would contradict your INC premise that the Church apostatized. The premise to refute your INC premise is this: The Church is the pillar and foundation of truth. Thats why the question now is not about how you INC interpret the Bible but is now to confront your premise (given that your premise has the possibility of being true). How is it possible for the Church which is the pillar and foundation of truth to fall into apostasy? In other words, it is logically incoherent for the INC to make an argument like this: Premise 1: The Church is the pillar and foundation of truth. Premise 2: After the death of the Apostles, the Church fell into apostasy. Conclusion: Therefore, the Church was then rebuilt by Felix Y. Manalo in 1914. The problem with the given argument above is that its using the two given premises that are clearly in violation of the basic principle of the Law of Noncontradiction. The Church as the pillar and foundation of truth cannot possibly apostatize for a very logical reason that apostasy is believing a lie. How can then be a pillar and foundation of truth believe in a lie? So please to all INC here, I gave you a very respectful and concise explanation why your religion is logically incoherent. I expect you INC to give me the same respect and respond to my comment logically and respectfully. --- Please refute the argument above. If you can refute this argument here, then I will take your challenge to debate your best INC debaters in a live debate in your Arena. Thanks.
