To all Spouses, Caregivers, & family of Alzheimers patients. Wanted to share a prayer that I recently read again. Clearly depicts an Alzheimers thought & hope as their lives diminish & darken day by day. Alzheimers Prayer Do not ask me to remember. Do not try to make me understand. Let me rest and know youre with me, Kiss my cheek and hold my hand. Im confused beyond your concept, Im sad, and sick and lost. All I know is I need you, To be with me, at all cost. Do not lose your patience with me, Do not scold or curse or cry. I cant help the way Im acting, I cant be different even though I try. Just remember that I need you, That the best of me is gone.
