To all my Facebook friends. I have to admit, Ive been struggling a bit when in comes to posting a holiday message. I am so fortunate to be able to experience the joy spending time with my husband and family ( Mike, Cassandra, Karen, Stephen) brings to me. But not everyone is as as fortunate as I am. Whether its friends who have experienced the loss of a close loved one; the painful events related to bias and discrimination that seem to dominate the headlines (Michael Sams, the events in Ferguson Missouri, and the countless other stories); or the tragedy of war that is destroying the lives of millions ... that I am so blessed not to be experiencing first hand - a simple Merry Christmas seemed glib and hollow. Today I came across this video. It brought a tear to my eye. This is what the holidays should be about. Random acts of selfless kindness. It puts it all in perspective. I am committing 2015 to doing more to make the world a better place for everyone. So to all of you, thank you for enriching my life. Heres hoping your 2015 is filled with joy.
