To all my Facebook friends and family approximately 4 weeks ago we received news that has and will change mine and Pauls life forever. Paul was diagnosed with Metastatic Cancer of the liver. The CAT scan showed a 14 cm size tumor on his liver, with mets into many many lymph nodes through out his abdomen. Pauls physician told us that he has possibly got 2-3 months to live or possibly 4 months if he eats and maintains good nutritional balance. We were told that Pauls cancer is at stage 4. We dont know the origin of the cancer and doing a biopsy will not change the coarse of the disease and having Paul go through chemotherapy at the age of 89 would be worse than the cancer itself. Of coarse I am devastated along with our Medina family members and my Kietzer family members. We have a very large family which includes 18 great-great grandchildren. Since his diagnosis we have had many of the Medina family members here in Florida come to visit. It was a very busy time but non-the less was great. Our son David from Bryan, TX and most of his family were here. Our daughter Mary from the TX Rio Grand Valley and many of her family were here at different times. Our daughter Josphine flew in from West Virginia to visit and is still here to spend as much time with her dad as she can. Our daughter Janie came from CA to see her dad as well. Our daughter-in-law Abby (married to our deceased son Jr) lives here in Sebring and we have the pleasure of seeing her and her family frequently. Eliseo, our youngest son is not able to travel from TX due to a physical condition and we miss seeing him and his family. My sisters and their families and my brother and sister-in-law have been such a strength. My parents came to visit us one week after arriving here in FL for the winter. Paul and I were so happy to see them. They have been awesome in their support. The good Lord gave Paul and his first wife Justa all six of their children but I have been part of the family for 35 years and love each and every one of them as if they were my own. Paul and I are asking for your prayers of love and healing. I do believe in miracles and have been praying for such but it is in Gods hands and of coarse will accept what the good Lords will is.
