To all my beautiful Fitpros! You know I love you right!? I respect you and I know your goal is to help others achieve their true optimal health right!? So, I think it is important that we are all so careful not to enforce these strict boundaries telling people to eat less and exercise more as this is the ONLY way to lose weight. I will not name names as I believe they are trying to help, but what is going unnoticed is.... WE ARE ALL SO DIFFERENT AND THIS WILL NOT WORK LONG-TERM! There are 2 things that need to be in place scientifically speaking BUT...But, even science doesnt have it all figured out! - I will come back to that. 1) Calories deficit (not deprivation!) - Yes we must reduce the amount of calories we normally consume. Switch to quality nutrition that works for YOUR metabolic burner type. 2) Balanced Hormones For years we have been taught to eat less and exercise more and this will help us lose weight, and for some, temporarily IT WILL! But why do we have so many putting the weight back on and then some? WE HAVE BEEN MISSING THE HORMONAL ASPECT OF THE EQUATION. We have to do our due diligence to ensure that our people are getting the best care and service. If we continue to tell them move more and eat less we are only perpetuating the problem. WE MUST LOOK AT THE WHOLE PICTURE: **Stress **Sleep **Mindset **Purpose - their BIG WHY to getting healthy and fit. Back to the science doesnt even have it all figured out Even with all that science offers us I never go by any protocols or strict set standards. I teach my clients to listen to their bodies and adjust as needed. I never force a client to do something - it is all about listening to their body first - ALWAYS! So, as Fitpros we need to be very careful with terms like eat less and exercise more or Do _____ as it is the ONLY way to lose weight. The more we listen and create programs that meet the needs of individuals the more we will create long-term sustainable success in achieving OPTIMAL HEALTH for our clients from the InsideOut! xo How do you feel about these one off approaches - DIETS? #dietsdontwork #health #fitness #fitpro #hormonalbalance #metabolism #insideoutwellness
