To all my crafty friends and business owners: My daughter Abbey is very active in the First United Methodist Church Youth Choir. Each year, the kids do a dinner/ silent auction fundraiser to raise money to fund their summer youth choir trip. In addition to travelling to sing in various churches, they also do mission work. In years past they have painted houses, refurbished Sunday school rooms in older churches, volunteered at VBS, cleaned up yards, built wheelchair ramps, and various other duties. Each member of the choir has been asked to collect items for the silent auction. If you or your business would like to help, please let me know. It can be gift certificates or the items themselves. Abbey and I would appreciate any and all donations and would be more than happy to come pick up any items donated. I bet I could even get Abbey to sing you a song too! As you know, having your child active in church activities is key to keeping them on the right track. I appreciate any and all help. This years event is January 25th. If possible, we would like to have all the items collected by January 20th so we can have the bid sheets made. Thank you!
