To all my friends from MERVILLE. Just want to share my experience - TopicsExpress

To all my friends from MERVILLE. Just want to share my experience with you. Yesterday I was at home the whole day as I was sick. All my important stuff are at home. It was around 7pm when my niece called me for dinner, I was im my room and just woke up from my nap. My room was located in our second floor. My bed is beside the window which has trellis beneath that is connected to the lanai roof. It was about 9pm when we went back upstairs and I realized I am missing my wallet, a spare phone, and a laptop bag (good thing the laptop was not inside). I searched through the entire house for my wallet but I cannot find it. Good thing i am not fond of putting cash in my wallet because i am quite aware of the perils around me so i would rather keep it inside the bank. Nonetheless, these are still my belongings and the IDs in my wallet are just as important as cash. When i checked my window, the screen was open. My mistake is that i always put my belongings on my table beside my window. It was only in the morning we realized that someone stole stuff from my room through the window by using a gaff. My mom even heard steps on our roof but never thought it could be someone so she assumed the noise was made by cats. We also realized that the thief might have already been observing us because he did it when my dad wasnt around (hes always in the backyard practicing his golf swing). Also when my father checked the roof in the morning, there were trails and the gaff was seen somewhere near the window. The thief might have been disappointed because none from my wallet or laptop bag can be of much monitary value (except for an old samsung phone). But knowing that someone can steal from you in your home and its in the second floor!! Security should be tightened. So please avoid putting your stuff close to the window (kahit 2nd floor). No one knows that thief might be lurking around :|
