To all of my Classmates from Pomona High School: In Past years I`ve been slightly ambivalent about attending class reunions. I went to the 10th and to the 25th, but missed a few along the way. Attending the 40th was really a wonderful experience! It was so very good to see and connect with so many incredible people! Faces and shapes may not have been as pristine as they once were when we were a bit younger,but none the less,there was something that was there on Saturday evening that was very beautiful! Our faces carried the life experiences of the last 40 years. The highs ,the lows,the loves, the losses,the many things that shaped us( including too much pizza and beer) ! It was kind of surreal to see all these people from years gone by. But the thing that that impressed me the most about the other night was the sweetness of spirit that was so very present! I think of all of my dear friends and classmates and am very pleased to see that they turned out to be a genuinely fine group of people! I don`t know about you other guys,but I found the ladies to be even more lovely now than in 1974! (and No I`m not trying to score points)! Thank you Elaine,Melanie, Mike Strode,and all of the others for putting together such a superb and memorable evening! You (colored my world) ! Jim G.
