To all of my family,friends and neighbors some of you may know and some of you may not! I was diagnosed back in May with Severe Osteoarthritis.I do not have any cartilage left in either of my hips, I am bone on bone, One side of me is 2 inches shorter then the other and at times the pain is unbearable and very hard for me to walk and try to do just the simple things in life! Brian and Sarah took me today and I passed all of my Pre admissions tests at The Joint Implant Surgery Clinic in New Albany and I am very happy and blessed to say I am getting my right hip replaced with a brand new titanium hip! The left one will be done sometime later down the road!My doctor, Dr. Keith Berend is going to help me to get back to the quality of life that as an active 50 year mom and wife I should be enjoying pain free! My surgery is going to be on Monday, Aug. 25th! As many of you know, I always try to be positive, see the glass half full and always try to have a smile on my face! I never really ask for anything! Well, I know that this is going to be a tough time for me, Brian, Nate, Sarah and Ben! So please keep us in your prayers! Brian is going to be home for a while to help me learn how to walk again! He says he is going to be my Coach and be there every step of the way! I am very excited and a little nervous at the same time!But, I will be strong and get through this and be back walking, riding my bike and enjoying life pain free one again!
