To all of my wonderful American friends murmuring we will never forget today: Be sure to remember the fifteen thousand (conservative estimate) civilian non combatant men, women and children murdered by the initial Smart bombing of Afghanistan. these people were not harboring terrorists. many had never fired a gun in their life. remember, while you can weep and moan about the travesty of 9/11, our hands arent clean in the matter. both sides lost lives, but by no means are we permitted to play the victim here. not after creating the organization that attacked us and despite this interfering in the same region a SECOND time (because the US creating Al-Qaeda worked SO well in the 80s, RIGHT?) Not after the death toll is so much heavier on their side. heavier BEFORE counting combatant deaths. So remember. Yes, remember. But remember both sides of it.
